Love Stories coming to the East Bay Area (Sep 20 & 21)
The San Francisco Brass Band invites you to our next concert, Love Stories, under the direction of Dr. Jeffrey de Seriere. This program brings together music that captures love in many forms — from joy and hope to drama and heartache. You’ll hear Fletcher’s Labour and Love, the very first piece ever written for brass band, along with Peter Graham’s A Portrait of Paris featuring soloists Mike Marmarou and Jacob Guilbeau. The concert also includes Elgar’s moving Nimrod, Prokofiev’s dramatic Montagues and Capulets, John Williams’ sweeping Suite from Far and Away, and more — ending with the playful energy of Hazell’s Mr. Jums.
